One thing I can say about this debut novel is how much of a unique storyline it is. Dunbar created something so raw and emotional with this story that you will feel your heart crack with every chapter. Sabra is a fighter but all fighters have a breaking point. Seeing her face everything really hits you hard. Trevor, he is one of those guys you keep because he fights so hard for what he wants and he wants Sabra. But the fact that he worked on her own timeline was stunning, hard to read at times because of how she fought him back, but stunning nonetheless.
I think the only thing I wished about this book is that there would have been more solid time in the past to build what was going on in the future. Not just snippets. I guess I am a masochist and really wanted to get a full blown feel for everything Sabra went through. But as a whole, this story is a great debut and Dunbar has a bright author career ahead of her!
