Holding You Close
Noah & Katie duet #2
Ex-Con Duet Series
Holding You Close is now available on all retailers!
After serving a decade long prison sentence for an accident that resulted in my husband’s death, Noah Reid returns. Even if he was my childhood best friend and the first man I secretly loved, I refuse to make it easy for him. But the heart never forgets and those old repressed feelings quickly bubble to the surface. Loving him is a dangerous game but one I’m willing to play. Flirting leads to falling between the sheets, and I’m forced to deal with the guilt of what we’re doing. Viciousness towards Noah runs rampant and while revenge trickles through the streets of Lawton Ridge, I realize there’s more on the line than just my heart. While I’m afraid that my son and I will be caught in the crossfire of those who want to hurt Noah, I can’t walk away. Secrets are revealed and revelations are made, but losing him again isn’t an option—especially since I’m pregnant.HOLDING YOU AWAY is a slow burn, angsty friends to lovers romance with lots of small-town, Southern drama. It's book 2 in the Noah & Katie duet and must be read in order.
Ahhhh I love how Kennedy Fox leaves us begging to get to the second part of the duet. With Needing You Close, you get more than just the drama and what has been causing all the headaches and heartache but you really get a sense of being for these two. How they grow as a couple. I mean, don’t get me wrong, those twists and turns were utter perfection as it flowed perfectly with the story but it was so much more. There was such emotion and raw pain through this book because of that one night and how it had this ripple effect. I was SURE someone was tied with it all but dang nabbit, I was wrong. Then I got my hopes up for something, then smashed! Still lookin at you Fox for that one.
Overall, this was a beautiful ending to this duet. The connection between Katie and Noah is just everything. They just flow. And make so much sense together. Even with the tragic history, these two are just perfection for each other. I swear, Fox loves to keep us on our toes and I am DYING to get my hands on the next duet with Everleigh and Archer!
