This story was something so unexpected that I was blown away. While a little slow to start off, the build up was completely worth it. My heart aches for Vee as she is trying to navigate being the good sister, school and so much more. Enter the notes and I absolutely loved every moment of this back and forth that Vee and Xavier have created. You can feel their connection to start but seeing it bubble over was so much more. Yes they are in high school but the level that these kids HAD to grow up, oh my stars. It was so emotional and heartbreaking but so much passion. I was on my toes throughout and my mind raced through a gambit of emotions as this story played out. The twists, the turns and those jaw dropping moments. I wanted to rage at moments but when I got it, my heart!!! Xavier is just wow!
Overall, this book just blew me away. I couldn’t put it down once I started. Seeing the growth not just in Vee but Xavier as well was absolutely stunning. How they evolve, grow and take care of each other. There is so much that happens and it will completely keep you on your toes the whole time. I adored the wit and banter. The playfulness that they had. This is a very mature young adult novel but one that is SO worth it!
She started her writing journey on a website called Wattpad at the age of fifteen. She wrote the majority of her first book Unwritten Rules on the bus on her way home from school. When her debut gathered 31,000,000 reads on the platform, she decided to self-publish the trilogy that set so many hearts, including hers, on fire.
When she's not writing and screaming at her computer screen, you can find her binge watching her favourite TV shows on repeat or reading in a warm blanket.
She is currently working on her fifth book. It is expected to come out in 2021.
