The raw emotions and the twisted up connections in this book will have you wondering what will happen next. While to me, it lacked the fire that the first two books in the series had, Cruel Lover is passionate, gritty and so much more as two people become unlikely lovers to more. Their banter is insane as Beckham and Jacinta but so is the sizzling chemistry they have. What I really did love is seeing how things were progressing after the first two books between August and Rylee and how much they were a part of the relationship built between Beckham and Jacinta. There are some perfect twists that come in this book that will keep you on your toes to that gut wrenching heartache that TL Smith is known for. If you loved the first two books in this series, this one is a perfect addition!
