Charity Ferrell creates one hell of a spitfire in her new release, Straight Up.  Now, if you don’t remember Cass at first, she was a side character in Ferrell’s Twisted Fox series.  It is book three in that series, however you can read this one as a stand alone.  What I will tell you, is that Ferrell’s books are completely addictive and well worth your back track if you want to read from the beginning.

Cass is an absolute fireball. From the moment she meets Lincoln, she lays her cards on the table and lets that feisty spirit shine.  Although Lincoln is gun-shy and slightly wary of Cass, these two personalities somehow mesh into a friendship/relationship that was just meant to be.  Their complicated past helps them find common ground as they deflect their feelings with sarcasm and laughter, but as a reader you see through that defense mechanism and fall madly in love with the characters.  

Ferrell has been one of my best discoveries of 2020.  As we lead into 2021, I can only say I’m just as impressed now as I was then. Her characters are fun, well written and have real problems and solutions.  I haven’t read a book yet that I haven’t enjoyed from this author.  The Twisted Fox series is absolutely one click worthy!
