Holy fireworks Batman! I mean, I knew Nico and Becca would be explosive but I sooo did not expect what Madison delivered with this one. That connection that these two have is beyond intense and passionate. It sizzles off the page but when the ball drops, holy smokes! The cat and mouse game between these two as each of them let their walls drop is stunning. I love how they give as good as they get with their banter at all times. But when it is just the two of them, it is so magical. Enter that lovely promise. OH does it blow up in Nico’s face and my heart ached for Becca. But the determination of Nico is utterly swoon worthy.
Overall, this is a great addition to the series. I would highly recommend reading the previous books because it slightly overlaps with the previous book. But I loved that about it too. It gives more of a depth to that previous book as we see how it all played out with regards to Becca and Nico. If you love hockey books, Natasha Madison writes some brilliant ones, and this one is absolutely amazing!
