I have to say that this installment into the Cockyverse is one of a kind and kept me on my toes the whole time. What Aumack gives us with Joss and Mac is something magic and unique. It is like a second chance romance but without that previous relationship aside from friendship so kinda a frienemies to lovers maybe? But the heartache that you feel from Joss just radiates off the pages. I love how much Mac works for it too. His alpha tendencies really can be swoon worthy and aggravating at the same time. I loved how Joss made him work though. Because she is so guarded and with good reason.
Overall, I loved every word of this book. It was unique, had epic twists and a great back story to it. If you are following this world, I highly recommend this one!
