Ahhhh we finally get Emmett in all his glory. I have to say, the start of this book had my heart in my throat because of all the raw emotions packed into those few chapters. From the reason why Emmett did what he did with Adaline and how his train of thought was going to those moments where he surprises her. These two have such a magnetic pull and it was beautiful to watch Emmett pursue Adaline in all his glory. This story flowed really nicely as we watched these two build things up again. It was beautiful to read and I loved that there was not a massive level of drama thrown into the story and just watch a couple just be. With that said, I do wish we got more of their history in flashbacks or something. But overall, great addition to the Ward family!
Meet Karla Sorensen
I am obsessed with Outlander (both the books and the show). I’m almost exclusively a romance reader, which means some people will never consider me a literary snob.
If I could meet one historical figure, it would be Jane Austen. I received my Bachelors in Public Relations and worked in health care marketing before I had my babies.
I hate Twitter. I do it, but I hate it. Also, if you want to get on my good side, bring me wine and I'll love you forever.
