I have been intrigued by this book since it was announced and I honestly was not disappointed. The only thing I wanted was more! Eden is absolutely everything. She is fierce, sassy and a force to reckon with. She is one strong woman and never backs down. With her and her brothers, Zeke and Eli, they are a storm. There is a unique set of twists within these pages. Especially when it boils down to how the triplet’s father became so ill. One thing I can say is do NOT mess with Eden. She fights hard and loves harder. With that, she takes care of her own which makes perfect president material. 

One thing I know I will get with a K.L. Savage story is raw grit, insane twists and lots of passion. While this one is not their normal style as we are reading three siblings and getting it from their points of view, it still packs such a powerful punch and I could not get enough. I am really hoping that we delve deeper into Eden, Zeke and Eli!

I have been dying to get my hands on the darker stories by Keri Lake but the timing was always off. But my mind is literally blown with Nightshade. The depth, the detail, just everything about this book had me on the edge of my seat, begging for more. The unique style of writing to the concept had my mind spinning as I honestly devoured this book in one sitting. It is intense, raw and twisted. It is spellbinding and I was lost completely to this world. This is very much one of those books you have to just pick up and read to feel completely immersed into the world that Lake has created and live in the wonder that is Nightshade!





EXCERPT

“It’s supposed to storm tonight. I’ve been told it’s dangerous up here when there’s lightning.” Hand in his, I let him guide me up the tower’s narrow, stone stairwell, lit only by the few flickering lamps that hung from the brackets on the wall.
Grip tightening as if I might try to get away, he glanced over his shoulder at me. “You’ve nothing to worry about.”
The stairwell opened up to beams and scaffolds, moving gears and the tired sounds they made. We hit a magnificent landing en route toward the bell at the tower's pinnacle, where the back end of the clock’s enormous hands ticked off the seconds in mocking. Counting down the end of innocence. I’d heard the vague rumors of the things that happened to girls in the bell tower. The utter depravity held mostly secret by its ancient walls.
“How can you be so sure?” I asked, stalling at a window, through which a cloud of lightning gave an ominous flicker over the black sea below.
His firm hand gripped me possessively, and before I even realized he’d changed direction, he backed me into the wall. Capricious as the wind that rapped against the window, he fixed his attentions on me, the chilled stones at my back a reminder that there was no escaping him.
The gentle brush of his knuckles down my cheek belied the shadow of malice that slipped behind his otherwise cold, inscrutable eye. “Because I’m so unreasonably rapacious when it comes to you, Miss Ravenshaw, that not even a bolt of lightning should dare touch your skin without consequence.”
In that moment, the thunder seemed more distant, somehow, or perhaps it was the incessant thump of my heart drowning it out.
“You’re jealous of lightning?”
He leaned in closer, the delicious scent of bergamot and licorice as intoxicating as the warm absinthe still pulsing through my veins. His lips traced a featherlight path along my jaw. Teeth grazed my earlobe, breath hot against my neck, as he whispered, “I’m jealous of anything that occupies your mind so unremittingly when you’re with me.”

Ahhh who doesn’t love a good enemy to lovers but that enemy being your brother’s best friend? Melissa Toppen delivers an angsty, passionate and witty story between Barlow and Atlas. Their banter made me laugh, their chemistry sizzled and so much more. I found myself laughing at these two as they spar verbally and seeing Barlow’s brother, Brennan just shake his head at them. There is a lot of back and forth and it honestly felt exactly like what the first year of college is. At least from what I remember. This was a great fast read with a slow burn that will keep you engaged!

So, I had the absolute pure pleasure of just binge reading each book back to back. While I will give a snippet for each book for a review, I have to say that this whole series was just amazing. I found myself completely immersed in the world that Dare has created and I was just in love with every moment. It is steamy, raw, twisted and so much more as you delve deeper into the series with each book. This is one series I highly recommend as well if you like MC but with a high school bully twist and also gives you that reverse harem you live for.


Savage is the first book in this series and it gives you the build as to what this series will become. Sadie is sassy and fierce right out the gate as she does not like how her life is changing because her father took in a former club brother’s kids. The instant love hate that Sadie has with Rhett is intense. Then you add Dane and Wes. There is so much to unpack in this story that I was just completely lost in the world that has been created for us.


Now with Sacrifice, after the way Savage ended on that cliffy, I was so invested to know more! I found the spice level amping up in this one which I was living for. Even though these are high school aged kids, they have grown up in a very adult environment so I found them a bit more mature for their age, but with that young kid tendency. I loved the overall connection that these four have. Who knew an MC princess, two bikers and a jock could form such a bond like they did. The twists amp up with this installment and I am living for it!


As I rolled into book three, I found myself 100% invested in these characters. Seeing their relationship build to mean something more than just the spicy times. A bond that is deep. Sadie is still by far one of my most fave sassy leading ladies. She has grit and is fierce beyond words and I honestly think she is the glue that holds these boys together. This one also adds to the level of twists that make your head spin, beg for more and want to cry at the end of it!


Can I just say, I am so freaking sad that this series is over? I have been so invested in Sadie, Rhett, Wes and Dane. The whole culmination of their story is now over and I am seriously sad! Sever brings you all the spice, twists and angst like the other books but I found it to be on a whole new level. I was just so amazed at the complexity of this series that Dare has created for us that I am now so in love with their work. This one packs a punch and delivers an epic ending to this group of four. It was everything I needed and more!


So overall as a whole, this series is just everything. I loved the complexity. I loved the angst. I loved the spice. I loved the blend of the characters and watching them grow! This is very much a series you need to get into your hot little hands because it is unique and one of a kind!

So I am 100% questioning myself as to why I waited so long to read a book by Giana Darling. I am literally on the edge of my seat blown away. This story takes you on a journey that you may not be comfortable with but it is so deliciously twisted that I could not get enough. Bianca may only be 17 almost 18 but she is such an old soul due to her upbringing and being the one there for her little brother. Enter Tiernan. There is such a draw between these two regardless of how it came about. It is intense to say the least and sizzling. There is this underlying thread through the story as to why Tiernan has involved himself with Bianca and her brother and it is twisted and leaves you wanting more. I am so excited to see what will be coming!

I love a good single mom romance and these authors did an amazing job to give us a unique story that will make you swoon and giggle. I honestly really enjoyed the depth of the concept behind this story of how Levi and Presley get together. Maybe I just needed that steamy angst in my life again, but the story had great fluidity and character build. This is very much one of those books you have to read!
