This is one of those stories that will grip you hard on the feels and not let go. Rosalie is in a very unique situation and Preston is hoping to get her out of it. What we get is a twisted and intense story of love at the most unexpected time, a kinship between the two of them that just makes sense and some messed up moments that make you really wonder about real life. My heart ached for Rosalie before everything even came to light for her and her circumstances. It is so heartbreaking and intense. Then you have Preston who falls in love with someone that should have been hands off due to his job but he couldn’t help himself. The connection and flow these two have together was stunning.

Throughout this story there are some interesting moments, twisted ones and some passionate ones. Schlosser knows how to keep a story completely engaging and Loner does just that. The fluidity, the character build and so much more will keep you on your toes and begging for more!
