Holy roller coaster ride! This one is a raw story between two very hurt and broken souls that find solace with each other. It is emotional and gritty between these two. Though at moments I could smack Amelia, the same could be said about Asher when the secrets are exposed. But oh the connection that these two have. Amelia just wants to help even though she knows she has a thing for Asher. Asher is such a nomad by nature due to his upbringing and seeing him build some roots and connection with Amelia was beautiful. The level of twists that the author added was perfect and flowed perfectly with the story and had you guessing what was going on. Add in the romance between these two and I found myself devouring this story from start to finish! I could not put it down. I am so in love with the world that Madison has created and I never want to leave it!
When her nose isn't buried in a book, or her fingers flying across a keyboard writing, she's in the kitchen creating gourmet meals. You can find her, in four inch heels no less, in the car chauffeuring kids, or possibly with her husband scheduling his business trips. It's a good thing her characters do what she says, because even her Labrador doesn't listen to her...
