Um.. WHAT JUST HAPPENED!?!?! Can I just say that I am so freaking sad that this trilogy is over. Punky and Babydoll were absolutely everything. I mean I have my boys from All the Pretty Things series but holy smokes, there is just something about the way Punky wants to keep his family safe but also avenge his family and get to the bottom of every little twisted thing that has happened to him in his life. But can we totally say MIND BLOWN?!?!? I am literally in awe of the mastery that James has woven into this final book of the series. Twists on top of twists. Jaw dropping, heart wrenching, eye opening moments that have you asking yourself did that just happen? Surprise after surprise that adds to the depth of this story is intense and awe inspiring that will have your mind spinning. This book ran right from the first page and had me needing to know how it was all going to play out which caused me to devour it all! If you haven’t read the first two books, I implore you to read them first as this one starts up right after Into Temptation. Nothing will make sense until you do! Plus.. you have to fall in love with Punky from the very start!
One thing is for certain with this story is that it is an all encompassing love story between Puck and Cami. Punky and his Babydoll. From start to finish, you can feel the magnetic chemistry that these two possess for each other and how it builds and flows from that first meeting in book one to that epilogue in this one. Seeing the build and rise of these two as a power house is intense, raw and so passionate. There is such a level of emotions that range in this one that it will twist you up inside.
Overall, I can honestly say that this trilogy is one of my favorites and I adore all of the author’s words. She has this magical way of writing a story that will pull you in, make you fall in love, shatter you, put you back together and break it again but in the long run, it all works out and you feel that satisfaction at the end. The epic twists, unexpected surprises and so much more make Deliver Us From Evil unputdownable and I cannot recommend this series enough.
