Southern Heat by Natasha Madison

Release Date: June 1

Willow
After being left for dead, I was given a fresh start by my knight in shining armor.
My protector.
I never had a family before they took me in.
But I don’t know how to stay or trust.
I always had a bag packed and ready just in case I needed to escape again.
Like they say, old habits die hard.
Being in the shadows is lonely, but lonely is safe.

Quinn
I was the quiet one, the one who stood in the back and watched things unfold. The cowboy who only cared about his horses instead of the glory.
Until I found her fighting for her life. Something inside me shifted, and I couldn’t stop it.
I couldn’t stop protecting her.
I fell in love with her with one look because she was my soul mate.
Even though I knew I couldn't make her stay.

Holy swoon! I am in love with the fact that we get Willow’s story after everything she endured. And to be with Quinn? Utterly epic. That connection Quinn felt with her was there right from the start. I adored him trying to understand why he was so fierce and protective of her. Willow has such a flight or fight response because of how she grew up and that utterly gutted me. No one deserved the life she had prior. I would love to say Quinn had some patience but he is an all in kind of guy and that spooked Willow. Seeing her blossom through this story was stunning and she finally felt that connection. There are some little twists and turns that add to the depth of the story and explains things that happened in the prior book of this series which I lived for! Especially seeing all the past characters and how they rally behind Willow!

Overall, this was a slow burn with a little angst story that will have you swooning and begging for more! I am so in love with this group that I cannot get enough. Quinn always intrigued me and Madison did him justice!
