This is one of those books that will take you a little bit to get into but once you do, the flood gates open and you are exposed to unexpected love, gut wrenching heartbreak and so much more. This push and pull between Anastasia and Valentino was raw and intense to say the least. Right from the start, that pull was there between them. Both have an emotional past that plays into their future but they find solace in each other. There are a lot of intriguing moments with some pretty epic twists that had me really enjoying this story. 

I have to say when I signed up for this book, I thought it was another author, and came to find out there are two that go by this name. BUT each has their own style and voice. This one is darker, more raw and gritty. It keeps you on your toes and wondering what will happen next. I loved the world that was created and I was honestly sad when it ended!
