This story is very much a raw and emotional one. My heart aches for both Willa and Aiden as they try to navigate their future. Between unrequited love on both ends, there is so much push and pull that your head is spinning. What I loved about Willa is that she took control of her life. She didn’t lay down and take it when it came to her ex. She made me smile a lot with her fierce heart. Aiden is broken like so many men who go through what he did. His balm is Willa, but that balm can only heal so much. 

There is a lot of push and pull in this story and epic passion. There are moments you want to yell and scream and moments you swoon or even want to cry. Elliott wrote something very stunning with The Butterfly Effect and it is a brilliant start to the Boggy Creek Valley series.
