In the middle of a crowded bar in our small Alaskan town, my estranged wife snuggles up to me as if we’re still a happy couple.
Don’t get me wrong, we were a happy couple—before she walked out on me a year ago. We were the high school sweethearts everyone thought were destined to be together forever. We thought so too, which is why we married shortly after graduation.
We had a good marriage. Until she left me without any real explanation.

Holy emotions batman! This story takes you on a really raw journey of bubbling emotions and so much more! My heart hurts for both Adam and Lucy as things play out after a devastating breakup to Lucy returning with amnesia and she is trying to figure things out. There is a lot of push and pull and guarded hearts but the way it all played out was utterly beautiful. I haven’t read Rayne for a wild and I forgot how much of a pow their writing has! I am excited for more from this series and this family.
