This is one of those stories that is just a feel good friends to lovers. With Dylan and Alex, they just melded so well together that you cannot help but adore them. I loved the realness of Dylan trying to determine where to go with his life and how it will work for him. With Alex, she just wants to be there for him. Regardless of how they are technically related, there is no blood between them and their relationship just feels so natural like it is to breathe. Of course there is the family dynamics which is intense to begin with that takes it to a new level but gives the story depth. Sad to see this series over but love how it ended!
When her nose isn't buried in a book, or her fingers flying across a keyboard writing, she's in the kitchen creating gourmet meals. You can find her, in four inch heels no less, in the car chauffeuring kids, or possibly with her husband scheduling his business trips. It's a good thing her characters do what she says, because even her Labrador doesn't listen to her...
