Right out the gate, this story was intense. My heart ached for Kayla as she is trying to navigate moving on. Enter these letters she starts to get from someone she has no clue who they are from a prison. Then through a series of events, she meets Aiden. Regardless of the situation, their relationship is intense. But there are little moments that had me on edge and questioning some things. One thing I can say is that this story is sizzling. The intense passion is just everything. The thriller element adds depth. 100% check your triggers before diving into this book as well as there is a lot to deal with within these pages.
Overall, while I really enjoyed the aspect, I did kinda guess what the twist was early on. It did not take away from the story as you really get into how they got to this place as it was. The connection between Kayla and Aiden was everything. My heart hurt as you learn more. But overall, it was a great read.
