After the ending of Nightshade, I have been waiting for Infernium. I was not disappointed with it at all. It echoes the same depth that the first book has with the attention to detail, the uniqueness of the story and so much more. Lake knows how to deliver an intense story with layers of complexity that will have your mind spinning from start to finish. There are so many twists that add to this story, the sizzle, intensity and so much more as we delve deeper into Jericho and Farryn’s story. This is 100% one of those books you want to savor so you catch every detail that bleeds throughout the pages. Now is the time to binge this duology because honestly, my words do not do it justice!

I have to say that I really enjoyed this story as it was just a low drama, with lots of passion story that had you smiling most of the time! The connection between Hallie and Chase. I loved the way these two just connected right from the start and how it continued throughout. Chase is going through a lot and when Hallie shows up sometime later, she helps him through it all as well.she becomes his rock. Even with the surprise of becoming a father! I really enjoyed how real the author made Hallie too. Going into the issues women have to contend with that is not talked about enough and the struggles that women go through. This was a fun and witty story that I couldn’t get enough of.

I had been excited to get my hands on this book for some time now as I loved the books that have a slight tie to this series. A month of passion leads to something so much more between Frankie and Xavi. And when these two collide again, fireworks and not in a good way! It is intense to say the least between these two. There are so many unresolved issues between them. Xavi is hands down ground my gears at times because of his attitude and the way that he thought finding him should have been so easy. I do adore how Frankie stood her ground with him in so many ways. But their connection is undeniable even if they are butting heads! I am looking forward to more with these two to see how they grow!

I was intrigued with Blackjack after reading Howler and I honestly really enjoyed this story. I loved the connection that he and Elyse had. The way these two sizzle together is intense to say the least and with every little twist and turn, these two are clearly meant for each other. While Elyse has a bit of backstory that adds to how things play out between her and Blackjack. Blackjack may act like a big ole bear but deep down he cares with all his heart and you really see that bleed into the pages. I am looking forward to more within this world!

I have been looking forward to getting my hands on this one for some time now. I love Hargrove and her words plus Mason Creek all combine to create a sweet romance between Bo and Evvie that I gobbled up from start to finish! It was low on the angst, high on the swoon between these two as Bo is new to town and sets his sights on Evvie! The banter and wit between them was everything as he proves to Evvie that he is worth it! What I adored about this one is the fact that Bo lifts Evvie up after everything that was shoved down her throat by someone who is supposed to love her unconditionally. The great ones really do exist though we all know that book boyfriends always do it better! Great addition to the series!

I love a good second chance romance but this one takes it on a few more chances above the second. While I am new to Brooke Summers books, this one had enough grit and sizzle to keep you on your toes between Mayhem and Effie. Was I happy with the choices that the characters made? Nope, not at all! But that is the direction they ultimately needed to take to get to where they needed to be. There is a lot that unfolds within these pages and heed the authors trigger warnings as well.
