Holy twisty goodness! This is the first book by Rachel Leigh that I have read and I am not sure why I waited so long to do so! Leigh has a stunning way of weaving words that will captivate you and have you fall head first into the world that has been created for us. With His Hollow Heart, the past has a way of sneaking up on you and it bit Bella hard as she is summoned for this new job that while she is really excited about, she is also nervous. Justifiably so when she comes face to face with the one from her past when she was a young girl in a group home. Callum is fire. He has this deep seeded need to get back at Bella for breaking that promise all those years ago. What we get is some insane moments, sizzling passion and so much more.
This book is very descriptive and while that can be a lot for some, I found it like it was painting a vivid picture of the whole story as you see it play out in front of you. It gave so much depth to the story and had me wanting. That ending left me begging for more. I am looking forward to seeing what will come next.
