My heart hurts for Salem right out the gate with how her history is. Enter Thayer and things get so twisted up. Their connection was intense from that first meeting to the ending of this one. I am still not sure how I feel about the ending of this one as it does end on a cliffy and I NEED ANSWERS! With everything that happened, especially that last 15-10% you will need some tissues! I cannot wait to get my hands on the second book to see how things will all play out with Salem and Thayer!

I had been intrigued with Brighton aka Bree’s story since we first met her in this series. She was always so sassy and witty but such a strong force in protecting her friends. This one takes an intense ride as she was involved with Luke, a famous actor. When things get twisty, she runs and honestly cannot blame her at all. But what I love is how fierce Luke is to try and win her back. What he is willing to give up for the love of his life. There is some back and forth between present and past and I found it gave the story that much more depth. Elliott has a beautiful way with her words and it makes you feel like you are a part of the story. Loved this one!

The catalyst of their paths crossing at the most insane time to how it all played out. I love that this is a relatively low drama story. Yes there is the backstory as to why Tarryn is all caught up in this but it's honestly one of those stories that will make you feel good and live for the moment. Evans writing flows so beautifully that once you start, you cannot stop. My one hope though is seeing Presley get her own story too!

I am beyond stoked to be back in the Kingmakers world and Lark did not disappoint with it at all. I like the fact that this story takes us back a bit as we saw Sabrina and Adrik at the ending of The Spy. This one takes us on a roller coaster ride out of the gates and has you wondering what will happen next. Honestly, this series as a whole should be read going into blind. You need to feel that intensity and heat that these two give off. The depth of the story that has been created within not only The Kingmakers but also what the future is being built for these two. Hands down, gotta read it, especially if you lived for the other books!
