Can I just say that I live for these two authors when they collab? The third book in the Deadly Love series has me begging for more. It is dark and delicious. Twisty and passionate. I could not get enough and I devoured it from start to finish. There are a lot of intense moments between Hale and Cara’s story but the depth of the world created is what really grabbed me. Knight and Fox hands down deliver with this story and I am so hoping we see more!

*Deadly Encounter is the third book in the Deadly Love Series. Each book follows a different set of characters and can be read as a stand-alone but to get the most of the story we suggest reading the books in order.*

Christian shrugged again. “I don’t know. I think you’re interesting.”

My eyes narrowed. “What about me is interesting?”

“You’re a billionaire who lives in a rent-controlled apartment over a fruit stand and tried to give the team you inherited to your grandfather. What’s not interesting about you? Given your situation, most people I know would live in a penthouse by now and take car services, not walk twenty minutes to the stadium every day after getting off the train.”

I raised an eyebrow, and a grin spread across Christian’s face.

“Plus, you’re hot.”

That last part made me smile. “And technically, I’m your boss.”

His grin widened. “That makes you even hotter.”

I chuckled. “Tell me about yourself, Christian. I feel like you know so much about me, but I don’t know anything about you, other than your stats, of course.”

“What do you want to know?”

“Do you have a girlfriend?”

“You think I’m hot too, don’t you?”

I laughed. “Just answer the question, Knox. Something tells me your ego gets stroked enough.”

“Yes, ma’am.” He shook his head. “No girlfriend.”

I tapped my lip with my pointer. “What do you do in the offseason?”

“Recover. Let my body heal. Sleep. Fish. I have a cabin on a lake up in Maine. Spend time with friends. Travel. Keep up with my training.”

“That sounds so…normal.”

“The season is anything but normal when you play in the NFL. It’s tough on the body and mind. You’re on the road all the time, the media follows your ass around, women hand you underwear with their numbers written on them and sneak into your hotel room. So normal is good.”

My face wrinkled. “Women give you their underwear?”

Christian smiled. “Any other questions?”

“Am I demented if I’m curious to know whether the underwear are clean or not?”

He laughed. “Maybe. But I like the way you think.”

OH did this duet end in a bang. It is raw and intense. Sizzling and twisted. Reese and Olivia have a crazy back and forth that will keep you on your toes and 100% wondering what will happen next. I found myself wanting more and hoping to see more with side characters as well. It was a great conclusion to the duet!

I have been intrigued with this book since Dover announced it and to say I devoured it is an understatement. Between the world building and the imagery to the passion and intensity of this story, I was just blown away by every moment within this book. I adore a good enemies to lovers and this one just kept me completely enthralled. Ella and Kai have such intense chemistry that it added to the complexity of this story. There is a lot that goes on and I was living for it. Amazing read. Cannot wait for the next story!

GAH this story! THE FEELS! My heart throughout this whole story cheering on these two best friends to finally take the plunge was racing! Oh you can feel that love between Alyssa and Sterling from the previous books but both were too chicken to act on it. What we get is a magnetic push and pull between them as they stumble through all the feels and emotions. I adored how this one played out and how the family is all involved. It made my heart sing with this story and I could not get enough. I am excited to see more from this family!
