I have been looking forward to getting my hands on this one since finishing the first of this duet and I was not disappointed. The concept will keep you on your toes as well as the twists and turns plus the sizzle. The whole dynamic that is Brax and Clover is intense to say the least and I loved all the complex layers that are at play with this world. Honestly, it is one of those books that needs to be read. As soon as I can, I am going to binge the series as a whole to get a better understanding of the world but hands down, this duet can be read as a standalone within the series without getting too lost!

“You’re going to have to forgive me at some point,” he replies. “Because I’m not letting you go, Clover.”
“I don’t have to do shit,” I tell him. “It’s my life, my choices. For all the power you have, Brax, you can’t force me to love you.”
His amusement drops away and he reaches up, fingers tightening around my wrist. I press into his carotid artery and feel a responding movement against the lips of my sex. I blink and glance down, shocked. “Are you fucking hard? Now?”
“My baby is sitting, half naked on my dick with her hand around my throat,” he replies coolly. “Were you not trying to get me hard?”[HL1]

It is sweet and fast with a lot of spice dashed in between and a heartfelt story of realizing that the one has been in front of you the whole time. The dynamics of Addy and Graham is just natural between the two of them as they have known each other for so long, but helping her out in time of need, something just clicks with Graham. I loved seeing his growing relationship not just with Addy but with Noah too. There are great conversations and banter between these two that have the story flowing with ease. Even when the small drama moment that pops up near the end, Graham stands tall for Addy and It was perfect. Great read!
