“Do you want me to pay rent or help with groceries? We really didn’t go over any of that,” she says, licking her lips.

My gaze settles on her finger approaching the pudding container again. “You’re a college student with a part-time job. You don’t have any money.”

“That’s true.” She smiles smugly before lifting her eyes to mine. “I’m sure we could come up with something.”

She trails her finger around the walls of the plastic before bringing it to her lips again. With her hand poised in front of her face, she smiles at me.

Nope. Not letting that happen.

I clamp her wrist with my hand and suspend it in midair. Her eyes go wide, her breath halting in her throat as she waits for my reaction.

Her skin is warm in my palm. Her wrist is so small, so delicate, that I ease my grip so I don’t accidentally hurt her.

I’m not sure why I touched her, but it’s either because I’m sleep-deprived and it’s late or I want to teach her a lesson. Or maybe I just want to see her reaction.

I stare at her as deeply as I can. She holds her breath as she considers—hopes? fears?—what I’m going to do.

I twist her wrist and bring her hand to my face. A smirk settles on my lips as her entire body stills.

Then with the most deliberate move I’ve ever made, I bring her finger to my mouth.

My heart thunders in my chest as my self-restraint shatters into a million pieces.

I suck her finger between my lips. She gasps, her body shaking in response. I run my tongue around the pudding before biting lightly against her skin as I remove her digit from my mouth.

Everything seems endlessly messed up, and getting less clear as she moves along. It isn’t for quite some time that she realizes the fairy tale she’d been sent in to fix is actually infected by another…

As we fall right back into this world where Ira is trying to fix what is broken in Neverland. It picks up right after Neverwith. It is twisty and intense as we delve deeper in this world meeting new characters with Shade and Eilidh, new intrigue and so much more. There is an epic steam factor when it comes to Ira and the men in her life! There are little tidbits that had me questioning a lot and who has shown up in Neverland that shouldn’t be there. I think this may call for a read of past books in this author's backlist and I am 100% okay with that! With that being said, this was such a great story to read because of how different it was. Completely refreshes the mind and leaves you begging for more. I am so looking forward to what is to come!

Review of Neverwith:

So when one of my book besties shoves a book in my face and says READ IT! I kinda have to. I am glad she directed me to this one because the story is so unique and mind blowing. I love a good fairytale rehash but what we get with Neverwith is something that is mind blowing. The whole concept of fixing fairytales while getting the naughty side of it all had me wrapped in this world that Reitan has created. I lived for the blend of characters that Ira gets involved with. From the elusive Peter Pan to Akule, Never Say and Lirit. If you want something unique, grab this one!

Meet Crea Reitan

Crea lives in upstate New York with her dog and husband. She has been writing since grade school, when her second grade teacher had her class keep writing journals. She has a habit of creating secondary, and often time tertiary, characters that take over her stories. All of her RH relationships end up being heavily polyamorous - meaning it’s not just all the men for one woman. There’s also some M/M action going on. When she can’t fall asleep at night, she thinks up new scenes for her characters to act out.
