After the way book one finished, I was really curious to see how it was all going to play out. Let me just say, it was worth the wait, the emotions and so much more. It was raw, passionate, twisted and mind blowing. This is one of those books and this duet as a whole, that just needs to be read going in blind. And yes, this is a vague review because all I want to do is scream what happened and I am not one to spoil anything. Pucci takes a spin on a classic tale and breathes new life into it with a level I never expected. An amazing read and such a bang to end the duet!

One thing I can bank on with Lacey Black’s books is the charm, swoon and wit. I adored Pen and Theo as they battle it out. The six degrees of separation occur with them as Theo’s brother is marrying Pen’s best friend but they are also neighbors as well. There is epic banter and wit between them as they spar verbally but their connection was absolutely stunning. This is a great low drama and angst read that will sweep you off your feet!

Oh after binging the first two books in this series and finally getting Matteo’s story, I am just so in love with it! Seeing the build with Elena which had their history intertwined, I was just blown away. I was always intrigued with Matteo from the moment we met him in Luca and Cassie’s story and the build of him was everything. Seeing the past crew completely involved with him and Elena was absolute perfection. I adored their connection, lived for every twist and turn thrown at us and was beyond sad it was over. This series was brilliant and I am so looking forward to reading more from this author!

He reached behind him and my heart jumped in my chest as I heard the lock slip into place.
“What?” He repeated and took a slow, predatory step toward me.
“I-” I looked around the room, for what? I wasn’t sure. I knew that if I scream Luca or Dom would come in all guns blazing but somehow despite everything, I was not afraid, not really.
“Do you know who I am?”
His question threw me off my thoughts trail. Was it a test?
“Matteo Genovese?”
“Good,” He took another step toward me. “And do you know what I am?”
“T-the boss?” I tried, wrapping my arms more tightly around myself.
“The boss, yes.” He took another step toward me. He was so close now that I could see the vein throbbing on the side of his neck and smell the enticing woodsy fresh cologne that seemed to be uniquely his. “I’m the boss of everyone in this house. It includes your brother, and it includes you, cuoricino. You can’t just dismiss me; do you understand that? If I say you dance with me, you dance with me.”
My throat closed up, my mouth and lips dry from the emotional distress his closeness caused. I licked my dry lips, his angry blue eyes following the movement and darkening as they stayed on them.
I broke eye contact and concentrated on the beautiful mountain painting on the wall
“I’m not your little heart. Don’t play these stupid games with me.” I felt the indignation at him pretending to care yet again.
“What the fuck do you want?” He asked, gripping my face between his fingers and turning it toward him. He didn’t grip it hard enough to bruise or hurt but with enough force to show me that he meant business.
“Why do you have to be so difficult?” He asked, his fingers squeezing my cheeks making me wince. “When you were eighteen, I gave you an innocent kiss and you forgave everything!”
I was an idiot in love then, I’m an idiot in pain now. “I’m not eighteen anymore. It would take much more than a kiss to get me to fall for you. You’re not as irres-”
He gave me a look so swift and so full of challenge that it was almost threatening that the words caught in my throat.
“Maybe not,” He let go of my face and wrapped his arms around me, pulling me to him, crushing my body against his powerful one. “One way to find out.” He added before crashing his lips on mine.
It was nothing that the sweet kiss he had given me in the starry night on the balcony of the Sicilian villa.
There was no gentleness there. This one was hard and punishing, his lips bruising and demanding. I gasped as I felt his hand trail up my ribs and cup the side of my breast. He took the opportunity to invade my mouth with his tongue, tasting, devouring like he was a parching man reaching the long-desired oasis.

After the way Wish ended, I have been on pins and needles waiting to read Walker’s story. What we get is love that is so deep but has had so much time pass with so many tragic moments that stop both Walker and Sadie at a loss for how to finally break the news. The connection that these two have is undeniable. It is raw, passionate and honestly, they are each other's soulmates. My heart ached for both of them because with how much time has passed, the repercussions could be devastating. But they fight for their love more than anything. 

The whole concept of this story really hits you hard with the feels. How things get so twisted, why the band thought Walker and Holland were a thing, to Walker being willing to give up the one thing that he loved as much as he did Sadie. This story has so many emotions that flow through the pages and the reasonings behind some of them will utterly gut you. I am so in love with this series and I am dying to get my hands on Holland’s story now!

I am in love with this series! I have said this before but with each new release it just keeps getting better and better.
Desired is just a little different from the first two in the series, with a bit of a twist, but that just makes it all the more intriguing. I loved Rachel as a heroine. She wasn't afraid to go against what everyone thought she should do and find something for herself. And of course we get two new sexy shifters to swoon over in Cord and Nash, and I am here for it.
I cannot wait to see what these two authors bring us next!
