I have been in love with the Thorne Hill series since it began but adding the Grim Gate series, MIND BLOWN! I could not get enough! Anora is so fierce and feisty but is also so fragile in some ways because of how she is different from her family. The concept behind Nightfall is beyond amazing. I could not put it down once I started. What began as a story of a girl who could see ghosts, turns into something so raw and intense that you get wrapped up in this world that Goodwin has created. Between discovering more about herself and having Ethan thrown into her world, there are a lot of ups and downs with twists and turns. It is fast paced and intense!
Between the relationship build of Ethan and Anora to why she is all of a sudden a target and these powers start to rise, Goodwin created a story that will keep you on your toes and completely breathless. Oh my stars! This story will hit you hard with the feels and so much more. I adored Austin and Lelani together. There was just something so magical about how they connected. Lelani is such a fierce soul that fights for what she wants and who she cares about. Especially as she fights for her life against her uncle and what he is making her do. But of course, wouldn’t be a Kings book without some twists and turns that keep you asking yourself if that just happened! The passion and emotions were intense in this story as things are intertwined in the most unexpected ways.
Overall, I could not get enough. I needed more. Maybe because I am in love with the men of this series and they are just amazing! I lived for this story and the concept. It flowed well, tied into the series perfectly and so much more. Daniels and Alvarez have an amazing talent for writing sexy alphas with sassy women and I lived for Austin and Lelani!
