Can I just say I really didn’t want to write this review because that meant I would have to acknowledge that this series is over? What started out as a journey of self discovery has morphed into such a stunning group of women who had a rocky start in life to being something so much more. With Dotted Lines, we get just that as we see the car finally arriving at its final destination with Claire bringing it to Karson. What I love about this book is you get to see the past between these two and it gives the series that depth that every book has. My heart ached for Claire as she fought her feelings for Karson. Same goes for Karson as he is essentially shell shocked to have Claire standing before him.

Overall, this was a great culmination to the end of the series. I loved the whimsical feelings this story had as well as the series as a whole. The raw emotions and connection that these two have was absolutely amazing. I wanted more and I am sad it is over!

“Because I know whatever you’re feeling for my wife doesn’t stop at just friendship.”

Darion pulled his lips in a straight line, his eyes drowning in guilt. He didn’t even attempt to deny it. My little brother just stood there saying nothing, not even a single motherfucking word to dispute my allegation of him lusting after my wife. The fact that he remained silent was like rubbing sandpaper over an open sore, aggravating the ire that already threatened to burn me alive from the inside out.

Tequila Rose is one of those books that is very emotionally charged. Granted it was the little cliche of being dumped, drown sorrows, find guy for the night kind of things but the way Winters wrote it gave it so much more depth. The way Brody and Magnolia connected was intense that led to a passionate night. Enter years later, and a ghost from the past arrives. Even with those years apart you can feel their connection. But things are all kinds of sideways for Magnolia as she is trying to navigate her past colliding with her present. It is very raw and emotional with everything as she tries to do what is best for her daughter.

Overall, this was a great start to the duet and the ending very much left me wanting more. There was great witty banter, the epic best friends for both Brody and Magnolia, small town drama and gossip and so much more.

Oh my stars, Easton will have you swoon and  your heart break at the same time. The push and pull between him and Claire is beyond intense. Even when things get all messy, these two have a unique connection. I think what I really adored about this book is how much they each championed each other to the people around them. How they lifted each other up and gave that push to do what made them happy. For all of Easton’s faults and him trying to push through, my heart ached for everything he had gone through. Even when things got nasty, he did it out of love in the long run. Claire is feisty and I loved that about her. She stood by Easton, regardless of everything. 

Overall, this was a great story and I loved these two together. They had the perfect mix of banter, wit and chemistry even when they are thrown together the way they are. I am very much looking forward to what else is to come with this series. Especially the next book!

“I want you, Claire. I want you in every way imaginable. But I can’t lose everything, including you, when this goes sideways between us.”
“Why would it go sideways?” Her voice catches and I hate the uncertainty I always manage to fill her with.

“Look,” she told me, facing her desk and shuffling through some papers there, “I made you no promises. There's a reason I didn't ask for your name. I never wanted anything but a night of fun.” She turned back to me, her eyes hard and her face a blank mask.
“We can still have some fun,” I offered. I stepped close, sliding one hand around to the small of her back and one behind her head. I pulled her close and pressed my lips tight against hers. There was no warmth, no passion, just a few brief seconds of contact.
