Blurb:

Can you live a lie?

It’s a ghost town, this place that haunts me, the one that made me.

It’s clear to me that I’ll never outgrow Triple Falls or outlive the time I spent here.

I can still feel them all, my boys of summer.

Even when I’d sensed the danger, I gave in.

I didn’t heed a single warning. I let my sickness, my love, both rule and ruin me. I played my part, eyes wide open, tempting fate until it delivered.

There was never going to be an escape.

All of us are to blame for what happened. All of us serving our own sentences. We were careless and reckless, thinking our youth made us indestructible, exempt from our sins, and it cost us all.

I’m done pretending I didn’t leave the largest part of me between these hills and valleys, between the sea of trees that hold my secrets.

It’s the reason I’m back. To make peace with my fate.

And if I can’t grieve enough to cure myself in my time here, I’ll remain sick. That will be my curse.

But it’s time to confess, to myself more so than any other, that I’d hindered my chances because of the way I was built, and because of the men who built me.

At this point, I just want to make peace with who I am, no matter what ending I get.

Because I can no longer live a lie.

Honestly, I just can’t. This duet broke me on so many levels that I am just at a loss for words. What Kate Stewart constructed with this very integral and unique storyline is something for the ages that I just will never forget about. My heart was aching at the end of Flock, and when we dive right back into Exodus, your mind will be blown even more. Cecilia has been through so much and the twists and turns that are thrown at you will have you guessing everything! I love that we get more of the past because it really hits you hard. So much more happens that leaves you breathless and wondering if this really happened. My heart ached. I wanted to cry. I felt the pain that Cecilia was feeling. Then fast forward to the present. The grit and determination of Cecilia will have you girl crushing her hard. She pushes till she gets the answers she deserves so she can finally move on with her life. But that push and pull and the chemistry! HOLY SIZZLE Batman!!! The emotions and connection is undeniable. It is just brilliant.

Honestly, this is one story that is one for the ages. It’s concept, how it was written to absolutely every raw moment that will destroy you, you will love it hands down! Things are unexpected, things get twisted, and things get explosive, both figuratively and literally. This duet will be hands down my favorite read of 2020. Simply for the fact that it is unique, angsty, raw and so passionate but also one of those stories that will be ingrained into your soul and you never want to forget it. It is a must read!

Welcome to my little world!

While I know that visiblity may be low for this, I have created a place for myself. Not just about books, but about me. The witchy things in life, things that effect me. Essentially an outlet to be myself again. While yes there will be a lot about books, there will be other things to come. Crafty things I have planned. The signing I will be attending next year in October! So much more! So please buckle up and enjoy the ride! My beautiful friend created the graphics and I am in love with them!
